Welcome to My
...So Far!
Besides giving you more than brief insights into the comings and goings and "been there, done thats" of my life, you'll be able to track my progress with certain projects, read some of my poetry and sneak peaks at my favorite theatrical performances caught on video.
Under my REAL LIFE pages you'll find a rather eclectic array of career experiences. There are a few accomplishments and a couple of kudos of which I'm rather proud, and proud to share; not only with friends, family and prospective co-collaborators, but with anyone out in the deepest reaches of Internet space. I have traveled some exciting paths to get to today and relish the opportunities I've had to try to channel what someone once called my "unique and infectious brand of enthusiasm" into marketing, communications, public speaking, public relations, project management, copy-writing, editing, video and audio production, talent management, resource development, and, best of all...one-on-one, face-to-face interaction with people from all walks of life; whether as their "food and beverage consultant" in a local restaurant - or as a corporate peer in a high-powered boardroom setting.
It is paramount for me to be doing something from a career standpoint that encourages creativity, rewards based on achievement, is something that will make a positive difference in the lives of my co-workers, enriches the lives of those I touch through my work, has me playing a pivotal role in my community and positions me to leave behind a positive legacy.
But most importantly of all, what I do for a living must be FUN and WORTHWHILE!
Otherwise...what's the point?
I say that as I constantly reflect on the most significant words I've ever heard spoken:
Life is too short, no matter how long you've got; so you might as well enjoy it!
~ Carole Ann Rothman Perry (Mom)
Born April 26, 1934
Continued her journey August 17, 1989
With that in mind; someone else once said...
If you don't toot your own horn, nobody else will!
I have tried, and continue to strive to live each day as if it may be my last. Not in the reckless sense of the expression, but in the sense of allowing my more creative and adventurous spirit to experience new and invigorating things. After all, I think the comedic genius that is Mel Brooks, in his inimitable style, said it best years ago:
"There's so much you can't do once you're dead!"
Based on this experience called "life" I'd have to say I echo Mel's sentiment. Therefore, I intend to use these few pages to promote myself; to illustrate my past and outline my dreams, while trying to never lose sight of the fact that:
"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift.
That's why they call it the present!"
I figure that by pursuing, in an intelligent and resourceful manner, the things I desire that are fun and interesting and require a sense of passion and boundless energy, that I am, indeed, planning for the future.
But one must be wary, for a sage also wisely proclaimed:
"While we're busy planning for the future...God laughs!"
SO...
- Check back often -
Like everyone else, my life's constant is
ChAnge!
Something about Mr. Bean triplets dancing on my home page makes me smile.
I hope it does the same for you!
